About this site¶
This site is my photoblog, which includes two previous runs of maintaining such a blog, and now contains the latest incarnation.
The original (under the category Seen By Me 1) ran from 2009 to 2013 and was hosted on Posterous, being killed off when Posterous was killed off.
After the original was killed by acquisition I didn't do much, until I found myself posting images to Twitter more and more and I finally decided to revive the idea.
So the second (under the category Seen By Me 2) ran from 2016 to 2024. It was hosted on Blogger.com, populated by an IFTTT pipeline that watched for tweets with a specific hashtag. That version started to degrade when the Twitter APIs became very expensive and IFTTT no longer provided watching Twitter for free, and then it degraded even further when I nuked my Twitter account.
This is a site I now fully control. While it is hosted on GitHub Pages I've done this in a way that it would be pretty easy to move elsewhere; this is down to the fact that it's a simple static site built with BlogMore.
Because of this, starting in March 2026, I've made a tentative return to keeping a photoblog again. These images can be found under Seen By Me 3.
